WELCOME BACK!
We hope all of you have been healthy and managing through this very challenging time. We have missed seeing you.
We are happy to be able to open our doors again, albeit with quite a different routine than before. Please read the following protocol carefully so that you are fully informed when you arrive at Balance Health Centre. We are happy to answer any questions you might have, via phone or email, so please do not hesitate to ask us.
Our protocol to see Dr. Brown involves the following steps:
- MAKING AN APPOINTMENT
We will create all appointments by email or by phone ONLY. To limit time in the office and exposure to our staff, we will NOT be setting up appointments in person before or after your appointment. You can contact us immediately afterward from your car or home if you like. This will allow us to have a smooth transition from patient to patient without having any unnecessary interaction, as well as allow us to stay on a sharp schedule for everyone’s safety. From Thursday to Sunday, email as a contact method for us is even preferable, with Dr. Brown sharing time between her two practices. Either way, we will get back to you promptly to set up a visit or answer questions. - COVID 10 Questionnaire
We will require you to answer a few questions with every visit. We will provide a printed version of this questionnaire which you are welcome to fill out and email back rather than answer over the phone. We need to be sure that every person who enters the office has been screened and is not presenting any signs of illness. We know this is the new normal, so we appreciate your assistance with this. - ARRIVING AT APPOINTMENT
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MASK. It is MANDATORY for entering our office. As mentioned we will only have one patient in the office reception area at a time. Please call us when you are outside and we will let you know when you can come up to our office. There will be hand sanitizer just inside the door that we ask you to use. PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK AT ALL TIMES. - BATHROOM USE
As our bathroom facilities are used by the whole building with key access, we advise you to try to use facilities before coming to the appointment, if at all possible. The bathroom key will be regularly sanitized. - NEW PATIENTS
The first half of this first 60-minute visit is typically spent with a thorough history taken, followed by assessment and, if time, treatment. In order to reduce interaction time, Dr. Brown is going to do a phone consultation for the first 30 minutes, and this will be followed by a 30-60 minute visit in person to complete the assessment and potentially begin treatment. We will ask you to complete all the online patient forms from our website which you can email back to us, thus saving the need for more paper exchange. Dr. Brown’s forms are under the first heading Matrix Repatterning.
This is all very new to us and we are still working on a setup that is the safest and most streamlined for everyone. We thank you for your patience and understanding while we maneuver through these changes. We also appreciate your feedback.
Stay healthy and safe, everyone!
